Leap Motion Experiment

Specialmoves R&D

The Leap Motion Controller has generated a lot of excitement about new ways of interacting with computers, so we needed to give it a try and see what we could do with it.

You can create applications that use the Leap Motion hardware with a variety of programming languages. For this demo we choose the AS3 API which worked well and got us up and running quickly. The scene is built using Away3D and allows the user to pick up the blocks with a grabbing gesture we developed, then stack them up with realistic physics. Switching modes allows the user the knock the blocks over.
